Tammy Boyer is a long-time storyteller. As a little girl, she entertained her family as Cher, and she loves nothing better than making short videos and reels on Facebook with her natural comic flair.
Tammy spent ten years in theatre as a seasoned stage manager and has recently immersed herself in film. She has successfully transferred her theatre skills to being an AD on set and producer mentoring emerging filmmakers.
As a writer and director, Tammy has found early success. Her first script, A Little Light, won the Jane Leblanc Filmmaker Award and was nominated for several awards at the New Brunswick Silver Wave Film Festival. Tammy's second script, A Better Place, was awarded a Short Film Venture grant and has received many awards. The Bench has won the WFNB NB Writing Competition. She is in pre-production with Flash Forward which won the CBC NB Joy Award.
As she pursues her passion for storytelling through film, she found a way to capture and share the unique stories and experiences of people. With each script she writes winning an award, her goal is to create thought-provoking and visually captivating pieces that resonate with my audience. Through her work, she hopes to not only entertain but also shed light on the diverse perspectives and stories that make up our world. Tammy believes that film has the power to bring about social change, and ultimately bring a sense of understanding and healing to those who have also faced similar struggles.
