Jared Carney's works include Dark and Stormy Night which screened at festivals worldwide, SWFF 2014 Viewer's Choice Award Winner People Are Strange, and Oasis which was awarded Best Horror Film that same year.
He also wrote and directed The Man Who Loved Flowers, a Stephen King adaptation which screened in Europe & at the World Horror Convention. His film Boneyard Gloom was shot on a Bolex camera using 16mm black & white film. One of his latest films Monday was met with huge success at the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge & received a personal nod from Troma Entertainment co-founder, Lloyd Kaufman.
He was a Features Writer for Horror-Movies.ca and has written for Numero Cinq Magazine. Jared is also the founder and co-festival director of the Demonic Brilliance Film Festival, a non-profit horror film festival that celebrates diversity in the horror genre while raising money for charities.
Professionally, Jared also freelances in the industry for television shows and feature films. Jared has taken on many roles including grip, set design, props master, and art director.
