Esther Birungi is a filmmaker and actor with a background in theatre and a strong passion for storytelling. Although she has not been actively involved in theatre in recent years, her love for performance has remained, and she is now fully committed to pursuing film and acting as both a creative passion and a professional path.

She is currently a first-year Media Arts and Culture student at the University of New Brunswick, where she has gained experience in film and video production through both high school and university projects. Esther has worked in a variety of production roles, including cinematography and assisting in Director of Photography (DOP) responsibilities, developing a solid understanding of visual storytelling and camera work. She recently directed her first student short film, Commercial Break.

In addition to filmmaking, music plays an important role in her creative life. She has experience in songwriting and is actively involved in singing at her church. Esther enjoys working both behind the camera and on screen, and she is currently developing a short film script that she is excited to bring to life.
