Avery Morton is a filmmaker and video editor based in Keswick Ridge, New Brunswick, with a passion for both the creative and technical sides of production. She has worked with several local filmmakers and educators, and recently became a published filmmaker on Bell Fibe TV through Frictive Pictures New Voices Film Lab. Her film "Can You Watch This for Me?" Was selected for screening at the Toronto Short Film Festival, and the Pupila Film Festival in Brazil.
Avery holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University, where she gained experience as a videographer and editor through technical work in STUs class "Acting for Film and TV," and through internship-based film production. Emotionally driven visual storytelling drives her work, and she is deeply inspired by the collaborative nature of filmmaking. Avery is currently developing a new short film with her cousin and creative partner, journalist Payge Woodard.
