Alison Taylor

Bio:

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Alison Taylor spent 20 years working as a video editor for film and television in Toronto before moving to Fredericton, New Brunswick in 2018. Alison has continued to work for Ontario production companies since then, but would like to work on projects that are Maritimes-based. 

Alison's many editing credits include HGTV’S Home Town, Storage Wars Canada, and the Colombian-Argentinian co-production feature film El Jefe, which broke box-office records. Alison has been nominated for a CCE editing award, and projects they have edited have gone on to garner awards and nominations at festivals. 

Alison helped to produce and also served as an editing mentor on Tracey Lavigne’s film Picture Yourself, and they are the producer of Lavigne’s first feature, the queer coming-of-age drama Glitter, which was the 2022 selection by Women in Film and Television Atlantic for consideration by the national jury of the Telefilm Talent to Watch program. Alison has also made a number of experimental short films that have screened at festivals internationally.

As a writer, Alison has published short stories in Broken Pencil Magazine and Exile Literary Quarterly. Their debut novel Aftershock, published by HarperCollins Canada in 2021, received the Atlantic Book Awards First Book Award and was shortlisted for the Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Prize. Alison's second novel is working-titled Confessions of a Binge Drinker.

Lisa Thompson is a writer and poet and the 2022 recipient of the Jane LeBlanc Filmmaker Award. Lisa is involved with a podcast series and her poetry has been described as Raw Poetry. Rawness in poetry is simply writing with honesty. When a raw tone and a confessional attitude combine, the voice is vulnerable, personal, and realistic.

Rebecca Tinsley is a versatile production coordinator, post-production editor, and event photographer with over 7 years of experience in a multitude of production roles. She specializes in video editing, audio engineering, and motion graphics animation. Graduating with a diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Producing, Rebecca began her career in the film industry immediately after, gaining a comprehensive background in editorial and creative direction for digital and video. Her expertise has extended to include producing and directing for various agencies and independent projects.

Peter is a writer/director based in Fredericton, NB. In 2023 he graduated from UNB's Media Arts and Cultures program. He's worked on many short films, and a couple features over the past few years, and is always happy to help in capacity. 

He's created a few of his own short films as a student at UNB. In 2023 he received a short film venture grant to produce his first official short film, STUCK. The film won best Sound design, Music composition, Picture editing, Lead performance, and Best NB Short at the 2024 Silver Wave Film Festival.
